Non-oil exports grow 13% in 6 months yr/yr

TEHRAN- Iran’s non-oil exports hit $23.123 billion in the first half of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21- September 22, 2018), growing 13 percent in comparison with the same period in the preceding year, Tasnim news agency reported on Saturday.

As reported, 56.644 million tons of goods were exported in the said six months.

China, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, and India were respectively the top five destinations for Iranian goods in the said period.

Some 16.22 million tons of goods, at the value of $22.182 billion were imported in the first half of the current year, registering 9.30 percent fall in terms of weight and 11.93 percent decrease in terms of value, the same report confirmed.

Iran majorly supplied its non-oil imports from China, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, India, and Germany respectively.

In the said time span, auto parts constituted the major part of Iran’s imports, while the country’s main exports included gas condensate, the report added.
